Hi New Member

Hi I'm a new member from the Us and I'm considering adding a Shih Tzu to my life in the future. I'm a quiet, stay at home woman who is looking for an intuitive, quiet stay at home lapdog...and it sounds like the Tzu might fit my needs. Being furry is a plus. I also have 2 cats, one ho is 14 years, the other is about 4 years old. I want to learn as much as possible about the breed. I apologize in advance for any errors in posting, as I am visually impaired, and sometimes all the cons and stuff interfere with my computer. I am looking forward to being an active member of an active forum. Thank you so much.

Hi FuzzMom and welcome.  Happy New Year.  Sorry that this forum is no longer a hive of activity since FaceBook came along but there is masses of good advice on here so I am loath to take the site down.

If you have any questions please ask and I will answer them as soon as I can and a few other people drop by too and they will help you also.  Shih Tzu are perfect for your lifestyle although they are not really a lapdog - most prefer feet as cushions.  Some do like to cuddle up though.  They can be quite active and do enjoy walking or running about on the beach etc
