Archie needs a home... Empty Archie needs a home...

Post by jess78 Wed Sep 07, 2011 12:10 pm

Hi Everyone
I am hoping someone can help me. I, very reluctantly, need to rehome my shih-tzu and am hoping someone here may be able to offer him his forever home or know someone that can.
Archie is a 9 yr old (approx) neutered male, he is a fab dog but is no longer enjoying living with a toddler, he has snapped at my little boy and is showing obvious sign of stress and i dont feel it is fair to keep him any longer.
I took archie in from an old lady who i used to live near who became seriously ill and couldnt look after him anymore. We had a few teething troubles to begin with for example, she lived in a bungalow and he couldnt master stairs! With time he became a fab addition to our family. He is a lovely affectionate boy who loves his fuss and home comforts, he likes a walk but not too far or he gets a bit stiff, he walks well off the lead and always comes back, he never wonders out of sight. He is fully house trained and always asks to go out.
He has a couple of minor health problems that i treat at home, he gets runny eyes which i clean every day with special eye wipes and has a dry skin condition which he gets a tea tree shampoo bath every week which soothes his skin, i also have a spray i use if i notice him scratching.
I would love him to go to a home where he can be the centre of attention, and live out the rest of his days in the lap of luxury! He needs a home with older or no children, preferably where he is the only dog and def not with cats, he does not get on with cats!
This is heartbreaking for me and not a decision i have taken lightly, Archie will be greatly missed but i feel i have no other choice. If anyone can help please do not hesitate to get in touch. I live in the centre of Lincoln and can transport him for the right home. He comes with his bed, food, toys, treats, collars and leads and all his other bits and bobs. He was clipped 3 weeks ago so is looking rather smart at the moment! I have photos but am not sure how to add them!
Thanks everyone. Jess. x

If you email the photos to me I will put them on and I am sending you a private message with the contact details of a rescue who might be able to help out. x
