Hello I have just joined...I am married and we have 2 adorable shih tzus one is Maggie Mei she is chocolate brown and white, she is 7 years old. We also have Mace who is Maggie's nephew he is 3 years old, he is golden with white and a black mask although the black is fading as he grows older -he had black tips on his back ,however they have almost disappeared with trimming! We love these little guys to bits - they are our 'kids' When we go on holidays our breeder Iris takes them for us and they enjoy their time with her! Maggie's father is Mace's grandfather!

You are very welcome Allie to whispers. Not sure which part of New Zealand you are,so sorry for the devastation the Earth Quake has caused and loss of lives. Your little Shih Tzu's sound adorable as all of them are. I have two,Mali who is nearly 4years and Tasha who is 2 1/2 years not related though. they are such wonderful characters. Looking forward to seeing their photo's .

Hi Allie and welcome from me too. I also have two shih tzu - Josh who is 6 years old and Isabella who is about 10 months old. I love the breed (have had plenty of them over the past 30 years - 6 at one go for many years which meant my house was like a mad house lol!)

They do seem to take over our lives - they are such fascinating personalities Very Happy

Hope to see some photos of your darling babies soon xxxx

Thank you all for the lovely welcome! Hello from New Zealand 132239

Although we were not affected by the Earth Quake here in NZ - we are in the North Island and Christchurch is in the south Island - we are still feeling the emotions, I was brought to tears when watching the carnage on television..we had a 2 minutes silence on Tuesday at 12:51 pm a week after the quake in memory of those lives lost. The whole of NZ came to a standstill for those 2 minutes, very moving!

It is very sad - there seems to be so much disaster around the world at the moment - my thoughts are with everyone who has been affected xxxx

Hello and Welcome from America! So glad to hear you weren't effected by the terrible earthquake. Looking forward to getting to know you and your baby's more.

PS I almost called my female puppy Maggie May (but my cousin who's name is Maggie protested loudly) so I named her Bonnie Lass instead.
