4 week old pup
Hi guys
I have 2 4 week old pups, one is really playful and cheeky (rex) yet the other can only just walk (lexi. for a few steps) and all it wants to do is cuddle up. I have had them both vet checked and apart from her having a bit of a wheeze and put on antibiotics she seems to be fine. Now mums milk is drying up and Im trying to top them up which is difficult with a syringe( vet did not have any teets and as it was xmas day nowhere was open) lexi is putting up with it though only has about 5ml which is no where near enough and rex wont even entertain it. I am also trying to ween them though neither seem interested. My question is ... is lexi being lazy or too weak? I have checked for dehydration the skin goes back as soon as i let it go. Also about twice a day lexi makes this really weird cry as though in pain but as soon as you cuddle her she is fine... any advise would be welcome

Re: 4 week old pup
Carlita could probably help but I don't know if she is around at the moment. I will try and contact her and see if she can get on here with some advice. In the meantime whose dog did you use? Can they help or the breeder of your bitch? At four weeks you should be able to wean them.will they lap mil
Re: 4 week old pup
Yes at 4 weeks you should be able to wean them, put the rusk on your finger and encourage them to suck it off,I have pm you my phone number if you need it or we can carry on on here

Re: 4 week old pup
Pups looked well on a recent video clip. They looked healthy and were playing together nicely.
Think gail has done a fab job with the difficulties she raised above.
