Liver and other organ meats in raw food diet
It seems, according to most raw food guides, that dogs need to eat 10% organ meat a week and it's apparently essential that they get 5% of liver. Now Daisy gets some liver from the Natures Menu nuggets, although once we've finished them I won't be buying them again. So now I'm not sure how to get the right amount of liver and organ meat in general into her so that overall she is getting that 5% over a period of time. Is it better to just give her a big piece or buy some, chop it up and freeze it and add a tiny bit each day? I know too much liver can give them the runs so I don't really want to be doing anything that might give her a bad stomach.
Right now she is hardly getting any organ meat as apart from the Natures Menu nuggets there is none in any of the foods she is eating. I am feeding her Prize Choice freeflow chicken mince and Prize Choice freeflow tripe, raw chicken thighs and raw lamb chops and then some days I use some of the nuggets as I still have a few left of the banquet, the active chicken and also the fruit and vegetable ones.
I do find it hard to get the balance right

which is why I am feeding wolftucker - if you get a prepared raw diet the guesswork is taken out of it.
