Re: Ivy my lil star
I am so sorry Liz, at least you know Ivy isn't suffering anymore. She has been through a lot recently and you were there for her every step of the way. It will hurt at the minute, but deep down you know you have done the right thing. You gave her all the love she needed and she was a brave little girl.

Oh Liz I am truly sorry to hear about poor little Ivy. However I know you did your very best to care for her and it's awful when you have a dog that you love but you know they are suffering, such a hard decision to make

Liz I am so sorry to hear this, but I am sure you know in your heart of hearts you have done the right thing. You gave her an amazing life these few last months and you can be proud of that.
Go run free on Rainbow Bridge lil Ivy.

Re: Ivy my lil star
Oh Liz I am so very sorry for you - just noticed a post by Eileen on Facebook on my phone as I haven't been online since Thursday. Bless you for all the care and love you gave that little one this past 12 months - I know she has left her footprints in your heart and that she gave you some very happy moments.
I know it is hurting right now but she has known nothing but love and being part of your family since you had her and that would have meant a lot to her bless her little soul. I wish I could take the hurt away but only time can ease that. You have been the best family lil Ivy could have spent her final year with

Liz I am so sorry for you. Remember we are all here for you. It will take time as it will for Lyn over Mishka. But remember you gave her the best time with you and Maggs and Henry and she is out of suffering now, at peace.
Re: Ivy my lil star

Re: Ivy my lil star
Thanks guys. Still utterly gutted. It was a amazing experience adopting ivy.
Not sure I could have a oldie again but just live shih tzus so who am I kiddin. In the future we may adopt or even foster. Because the thought of lil shih tzu without a home makes me sad.
We are donating our wedding favour money to the friends of the animals rather then having lil mints or sugar almonds. To the wonky towers apeal

Re: Ivy my lil star
I read that on their forum Liz and thought it was a very nice gesture
It is hard when you lose them - I was talking to my mum about fostering again and she was getting worried because she doesn't want me upset like last time when little Jasmine was only a few months old To take on an oldie knowing you might not have them for very long is really brave thing to do but I am so glad there are people like you who do this... I would like to think that when I go there would be somebody there to take on my little shih tzu whoever that might be at the time

Re: Ivy my lil star
With ivy I knew what we were getting in to but it does not make it any easier because she need the extra care all the time my life had to go around her. I love the rewards of looking after her.
Think I may get to attached to a foster defo if its a shih tzu.
But the other hand I know I would try to promote a new home and get the ready to move on.
Think it's something we would have to go threw in detail with the charity

Don't you worry about that. I would happily drive those miles to pick your little shih tzu up and give them a loving new home
