Night Night Oscar x
Our sons 9yr old cavalier, had to be put to sleep last night. Poor Oscar took poorly in the late afternoon, he kept being sick, and was very wobbly on his legs, to start with, then his eyes went strange, one minute wide open then he struggled to open them, John and our daughter in law took him to the vets, they said he had internal bleeding, he was put on oxygen and drips. They did a scan which revealed a tumour on his spleen which extended to his lungs, this had ruptured. His blood count was too low to do a transfusion, so the awful decission had to be made to put him to sleep as the vet said there was nothing they could do for him. It was the worst night of our lives, having to make such a decission was hurrendous, Oscar was just lying there totally out of it and just snoring, he didnt seem to e in any pain which made it worse, our son and his wife are devastated as are we all poor Oscar, you were so loved little one and will be missed by us all. Rest in peace our beautiful little man love grandma xx

Re: Night Night Oscar x
Thank you all for your kind thoughts. Can't believe it's a week today, poor little Oscar, really missing his snoring, the house is quieter without him even with all the others.
Our lives are so enriched by having owned a dog, I feel sorry for people that dont like animals they miss out on so much love.
