Big welcome to lil ivy who is currently in the footwell of the front seat of the car on her bed lookin and sniffing at my sandwich lol she is such a cutie x

We r all still in the car on the way home she has decided that her bed was not good enough so spent it on my lap :-)

She is such a cutie, hope you had a peaceful first night and that Ivy is starting to settle with you now. It will take her a while to get to know your routine, but she will get there in the end.

She has just fitted in Henry was a lil excited but calmed down and likes to sleeP in her bed Maggie tried to play with her play bowing an ivy just wagged her lil tail they r now sleeping on the sofa together.
she follows us around ad likes to sit by us.
She is finding her way round slowly but gets confused with the oven door and tries to get out for a wee that way lol ( just put a tea towel there now)
We have put a back door mat by the right door so she is learning fast.
No noise all night she was sleep in her lil bed with her mircowave heat pad under it.
She does feel the cold and will start to get under the cushions an covers so we put a lil jumper on in the morning until she is up and running.
She ate some of her breakfast but I imagine till settled it will biy hit an miss. She got a sunday doggy roast to look forward to later.
I spent the morning fixing the lose parts on the jumpers she came with
She is such a good girl :-)

She sounds absolutely delightful Liz . I think she will settle down quickly by the sounds of it.

Yes she is a lil gem have to watch u don't knock her as she likes to be very close. Both our dogs have been fine Henry had a lil growl when he was having cuddles and ivy came near but he got a good telling off and sent to his bed he has not done it since ! Maggie ha tried to play with her and they have just looked at each other in a shih tzu stand off but they sit together on the sofa no problem ! So all is well
Just ordered her tag for her collar so it official she is part of r lil family !

Lil ivy is doing well she is a star. She went fr her first lil walk around the block 5 mins and wagged her tail the whole time she would stay outside all day if she could
She does not like having her face washed and will try to bite so I have to pretend that I am stroking her with slightly damp cotton wool she does not like to be told what to do she tried getting in the pet food cupboard and got very angry when took away but a firm no she realised that it was wrong to her surprise I don't think se got told no or had many rules which is expected. She was a bit shocked when told off but is very good that she is learning that no is no and u try to bite me u will get told off so less of this has hap.
She loves to eat chicken and will even try to grab and paw us at the table so a few rules I think.
She is lovely though and has big cuddles

I am glad Ivy is doing well . I think you're right a few rules in place and she will start to understand, as you say No means No. I think it is a Shih Tzu trait they don't like being told what to do or not do as the case may be. Come to think of it neither do I !!!

Yes Maggie has a moan when told and I think because she is old and felt sorry for she was allowed to get on with doing what she wanted but I will not be snapped at and she can defo hear me when when she chooses to. She also tries to pull the bin over whih she can't but nothin that I cant handle and sort I don't think I will grow her fur I she acts this badly to a wash lol
She has got better with sleepin at night and eatting and she had a lil play with mags but then head butted the coffee table ouch !!!!

Just brought ivy 3 custom fit fleece jumpers with her name stitched in they r being made for her ..... I blame ivy she told me to !!!!
To be honest we tried wih out the jumper in the morning at night she got cold quick and was trying to squeeze under blankets and cushions and she started to shake her lil feet and ears were cold :-( we put her knitted ones on her but when she scratches she catches her nail in them so don't want to have a accident on our hands ! Also I can't find ones to fit her very well that cover her chest and I don't want bling thins u find on most websites and shops as it not for show !!!!
Only the other day I was saying about this talk about eat my own words lol
They shaved her hair all off because of matting and she is not keen on face washes ( we r getting there ) so lil jumpers it is in the morning and evening lol
