Re: 7 week old pup
I think all breeds of dogs can be naughty If not trained an guided on the right path. My lil shih tzu Maggie-Mae is no way naughty they have a cheeky side that is very funny but if not given right rules can get a bit stubborn but are very easy to train if given the right knowledge the clicker training on this forum is amazing and a very effective way to make it stick in there head.
All shih tzu are dif just like ppl.
As for my mags she has been a excellent lil dog and is always making me laugh with the silly things she does .

Re: 7 week old pup
I do agree all puppies and all breeds can be naughty, but as mentioned above if brought up the right way any dog can be a delight to be around. Certainly the Shih Tzu are a delight. You have to be firm but kind. Tone of voice is also important. There are all sorts of experienced people on here, so what ever your question no matter how silly you think it may be just remember we all started somewhere. So what I am saying is don't be affraid to ask. We are all a very friendly bunch.

I agree with everyone, they are great fun and no harder to train than any other breed of puppy
