I would definately re-home another Shih Tzu but not until my old girl passes.
My Baxter's Mum is a rescused ex puppy farm breeding bitch. 8yrs old and slowly putting on weight and condition. Her coat is improving too. Poor things are just treated terribly.

I have one of those little Shih Tzus here with me (yes I know Lesley I wasnt going to have anymore from Many Tears but I couldnt resist a Shih Tzu), I have Arabella (we are calling her Bella) she is such a sweet little thing still a little nervous of us but will let you make a fuss of her, sleeps in her crate all night, she is not housetrained but so long as we take her out every couple of hours we have only had a couple of accidents, she is very thin and doesnt want to eat so have been tempting her with some chicken and rice, its early days yet, I have fallen in love with her but know I cant keep her, so if anyone wants to adopt a lovely little girl she is here with me xx

Wow Michele, you have Bella, teddy hug

Mummy grooming tzu wanted Alicia and

    Mam-Ma wiggle wanted Apricot ...............................

Mam-Ma wiggle said they can have Charlie as well, but she doesn't really mean it, I don't think tongue

Mam-Ma wiggle would love to know where Many Tears get all their ex breeders from............. I think we would end up with a house full of Shih Tzu's and Shnauzers OMG group hug

aww Michele you are an angel!! teddy hug

I am stumped at the moment as I work such long hours and can't take the gang into work now or I would be fostering again - though I hope I NEVER have the tragedy I had last time Sad Maybe one day when I don't have to work??

I only feel pleasure Michele at the fact that you have taken another wee thing into your home - I know what I have said about MT in the past but my love of shih tzu is stronger and so I am glad that you have done this xxxx I am sure Bella will find the best family for her - and you will just have to get another one asap to fill the hole (though if it doesnt work out with the prospective owners would you want to keep her??)

Up until now they have been really good just accept them and get on with things but this time Poppy has decided to take a dislike to Bella, she snaps at her everytime Bella goes anywhere near her and has been really grumpy infact she has gone to stay with my daughter and her Shih Tzu Maisey for the night, I wonder if she senses that I have really fallen in love with her, although I know i cant keep her because when my daughter goes back to work after her maternity leave I will have her dog and my grandaughter as well as Wispa and Poppy, but fostering is very rewarding knowing that you have been a stepping stone in helping a dog to find a forever home x

I was after adopting another but I think fostering would be so rewarding knowing that the dog will have a new start in life from living conditions here to finding a new home. But then again there is that saying "fail fosterer". Its a wish I have at the moment.....funny how two little dogs can turn your attention to other issues.

I looked at the sight and couldnt believe there was so many used just for breeding and they have dumped em when they are still so young , not that any age would be acceptable it just doesnt make sense. i cant believe they pay so much for a beautiful loving dog and chuck it outside for the duration. these people should be banned from having dogs full stop. bang head

A couple of piccys of Bella not very good I am afraid as 1 had to take them at a distance as she is not good at staying still when you get too near her, have taken her for a short walk today and she was pretty good considering she has never been out before, I have finally got her eating and her and Poppy have sorted things out and are getting on now, although when Bella is in her crate (her safe place) if Wispa or Poppy walk near her she grumbles at them, she is in her crate at the moment snoring!! x

I agree Lesley she does look a lot like Josh. We have just been down to the beach to walk ours but the tide was well in so we went further on and parked in a little car park and waked thenm on the pavement which is good for Tasha because she has always shyed away when a car comes near, but she was absolutely fine today. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous overlooking the sea and the beach. There was a nice but cool breeze, just made us think how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful area.A perfect Sunday morning stroll. And now they are both fast asleep.

What the heck will she do next? I am far from impressed.

Well Bella has gone off to her new home this afternoon a lovely couple who have two Bichons have adopted her they spent the afternoon with us letting their dogs get to know Bella and they all got on really well, I only had her here a week but she had really come out of herself the last few days her and Pops had decided that they did like each other, and she had her first walk yesterday afternoon, I admit that I shed a few tears when she went x
