omg i could burst !

dave has agreed to let me get another puppy .. they are both boys (which is what i wanted)so i will have to get molly spayed,i just cant decide on these 2 ..we have been twice to see them the breeder is so lovely and we have stayed about 3 hrs each time chatting about the breed etc .. i have seen both mum and dad and all the kennel club paperwork for the parents ,she also has another 7 dogs that have licked me all day long ..lol i fell in love with the little black and white one first time but this time ive fallen for the black as he is just a little bit different and only has a little bit of white on the chest and teeny bit on chin.. anyway here are a few pics of both i would really appreciate your views on either xxxxx

They are both lovely, when I was looking for Louis I was looking for a black/white. Came home with Louis though, he just felt right.

i cant wait for lesley to see them and tell me which head and face is better x

With the solids its hard to see their features very well. I have very few good photos of Louis

i have got other pics of the little black one but only the one pic of the black and white one ,i think im totally smitten with the all black though ..gawd gotta think of a name next ,so far ive picked louie (not sure if im spelling that right ) teddy (as in bear) and buddy ..hmmm cant think lol

like the little black one - that's my sort of puppy face though the black and white is cute too. Are you still set on showing or is this just as a pet??

if i wanted to show would you still pick the black one ? the back legs of the black and white one are mismatched (breeders words) but the face is symmetrical but it looks like there is more white on one side but theres not x

they were both very loving ,the black and white one is more outgoing i think the breeder said x

If you mean the leg colours are mismatched then that is not even classed as a problem!! Noone see the legs in a dog in full coat!

If you want my honest opinion - and I pick my puppies for their closeness to the standard (as I read it) whether they are for pet or show - I prefer the head shape, eye, ear and nose placement of the solid black.

Of course there are quite a lot of other things to take into consideration for show - the body shape, the balance of the dog (tail set, head carriage and depth of rib. length of body etc), dentition and also and quite importantly for me the movement. None of which I can see in a photo and most of which can change as the puppy grows.

But the most important thing for you is which one will you love - it is no good buying a puppy because I said to then you not really bonding with it - it has to be from the heart and need to be loved faults and all

well one leg was mostly black and the other was mostly white they looked very different i think she just wanted me to be aware of it and yeah thats exactly why i love molly so much ,my heart melted when i saw the all black ones face and i thought he was a girl as he looks so sweet ,i know it has to be my decision but thanks for your help much appreciated lesley and everyone else xxxxx just need a lovely name for him now x

OMG indeed Denise you are lucky . Without seeing them together, just looking at them I would definately go for the Black one. If you want a suggestion of names I would choose.
1 - Bailey
2 - Milo
3 - Brody

Yes I like the all black one to but as Lesley said above its the puppy that chooses you etc yey exciting times ahead!

hi all ..yes the hardest part is picking the name ,so far i like ...milo bailey teddy and buster x

but then if i wanted something a bit different to match her colouring i like ..domino, bietnior (which means black beauty) Jet (the dads name)oh god decisions decisions..lol

I would try shouting a name you like from afar say as if you were shouting him on a beach. How comfortable you feel that others can hear you calling his name. Sometimes you can see a name in that dog(if you get my drift) looks right for that dog .Just a thought.

Can we not come up with names other than Bailey and Milo otherwise all the new male puppies are going to have the same name

Hope you realise that when it comes to naming my own dogs I usually come up with zilch

ive been shouting all the names i sound like a right twit..and molly doesnt know whats going on..lol i forgot to mention last night the black little boy has a hernia (umbilical) but she said they are quite common and nothing to worry about and i was also worried that sometimes when the puppy walked his legs at the back were flat and he looked like a seal especially being all black ..he wasnt the only pup doing it and the breeder said that its because hes still only just over 5 weeks ..im hoping someone will know if this is true im not saying i dont trust the breeder but after molly im very cautious x
