mollys eyes
hi all , first of all i want to apologise incase you think this is a daft question ,but my friend came round a while ago to see molly and asked if her eye was ok , i didnt have a clue what she was on about but then she said that when she looked straight at molly her left eye looked forward but the other one looked off to the side a bit , well i said as far as i know shes fine and the breeder never mentioned it but now i cant stop looking at her and wondering if shes right or if its normal when they are this young , the breeder did say she had excellent eyes as in not protruding (not sure if this is the right word) and that not much white was showing ? i just wondered if anyone had noticed this ...thanks in advance xx
ps
shes loved so much and its not like im going to show her its that my friend has got me worried something might not be right x

Re: mollys eyes
our Rusty looked like that when she was tiny too - I thought there was something wrong but I think it's completely normal - and as she grows it'll dissappear. I think maybe it's just a puppy thing. I'm no expert but all I know is that Rusty is now stunning and her eyes are perfect - so I'm sure it's nothing. xxx

Re: mollys eyes
Obviously dogs can have squints just as much as we can but you find that shih tzu puppies often look like that especially when they are trying to focus on something - it is part of the appeal of them. From what I can see of your young lady's face in your photos htere is absolutely NOTHING wrong with her eyes and what is more she is a very very pretty shih tzu baby who is going to grow up into an elegant lady who will be a crowd stopper!! So please try not to worry yourself about it - she is PERFECT!!
Re: mollys eyes
i suppose its like when you have a baby and you think thier perfect because their yours and then someone says something and it makes you wonder ...i must admit it never occured to me and i think shes absolutely gorgeous ,and i really appreciate your replies ,by the way i bathed her this afternoon ,wrapped her in a towel and held her for a bit ,then used my hairdryer on her on the low heat and slower setting ,must admit she didnt seem to like it much but didnt make as much fuss as i thought she would ...oh and she had this little mad moment of running around for 5mins after which was hilarious lol i love her to bits and shes gonna be spoilt rotten ! x

Re: mollys eyes
I can tell you from experience that the 'mad moment' will extend from 5 mins! Our Rusty loves to run around after a bath - it's the natural way for a dog to dry themselves off! It's hilarious - she uses both me, Andy and the couch as spring boards and just goes mad!
You've gotta love them!

Re: mollys eyes
They all love their mad moments after a bath - though you need to make sure they can't exit into the garden - or you will end up bathing them again Another trick is to wipe their whiskers on your legs when they have had a drink
Re: mollys eyes
that is sooo true - rusty loves coming in after soaking her face in her bowl and wiping on my socks! although i have taught her to just do that to guests now as it keeps me very amused!

Re: mollys eyes
I have just got mine the Road Refresher bowl (as seen on Dragons Den) they don't get half as wet as they used to.They have one for the car as well and it does not spill we tried it on Tuesday --it works-
Re: mollys eyes
Molly looks fine to me. Maybe it is a case of sour grapes and jealousy from your friend, that you have a lovely puppy and they don't?
Simba also runs around like an absolute loony after his bath, it is so much fun to watch!

Re: mollys eyes
My two love having a game of chase around the garden, not until they are dry though. They will chase around the lawn it is so funny to see them. Mali is so small and thin and charges at break neck speed and there is Tash the Heffalump that she is trying to outrun her -no chance-.
