Hi and Welcome from Wispa Poppy and me

HI all. Sorry its taken me so long to post. My phone has rung non stop all morning.

My name is Pammie and I am one of a small team of admin for the Yorkshire Terrier and Toy Breed Rescue. I also foster, transport, collect, arrange adoptions, dog whisper. etc. I also do general dogsbody stuff aswell.

There are usually a sucession of fluffies in my home to play with my own rescue Lhasa. Tillywilly will be 3years old in October and is a lovely little thing. Her only fault is food stealing. If you turn your back on your dinner for a minute, she will have it. I've lost count of the times I have answered the phone and come back into the room to find Tillywilly covered in gravy and denying all knowledge!!

I'd just like to say a big thank you to everyone for all the lovely messages and the wonderful warm welcomes. I love this forum already. I've just told another admin member, my friend Sally (ambercats) about you, so I expect she too will be over to say hi to you all.

I've loved reading your posts. They are really interesting and informative. Well done everyone. If I can help you in anyway then just let me know.

What a wonderful job you do for your rescue, hats off to you, I think it's brilliant that there are people like you out there and I know from Pauline at the HCST rescue how much hard work is involved.
Tillywilly sounds quite a character lol - now don't forget the photos - it's sort of the law on here!

Oh wow what a pretty girl, she's beautiful! I just adore Lhasas!

Thanks Debbie. She is a stunner ... now. You would not have recognised her 6 months ago. She was in a horrible state, all matted and very, neurotic, and snappy. Not anymore though. She now loves to be groomed, is very cuddly and obedient (well, in a lhasa kind of way ), isn't snappy, 100% reliably house trained, and my absolute love. She has to be the most scrumptious doggy I have ever had. I'm gathering a posse to come to Tatton so hopefully you will be able to meet her! We'd love to support you all there.

What a wonderful job you have done with her - it must be incredibly rewarding for you - and I can see just looking at her photos how you would be smitten with her - she really is a little stunner.
I think the 'Lhasa kind of way' is very similar to the 'shiddie kind of way' we soon learn our place!
Great news about Tatton - the more the merrier!

oops nearly forgot to tell you, we rehomed two oldie shiddies today to an elderly couple. They are going to live the rest of their lives in luxury and comfort. Great ending. x
