Oh yes I've just realised Monty was awarded Reserve Best Dog - well done cheers.
I'm starting to get the hang of the pedigree names & recognising the "lines" now. I think I need to read up on the terminology, so I don't look like a nincompoop when I eventually get to see a show though Embarassed.

Post by Kengai Tue Feb 24, 2009 9:30 pm

Hi Mercedes

My Affix is Kengai - so anything I breed would start with the name Kengai.

But because I don't breed, I can only put my Affix at the end of any dogs I own. Jean (Ethelsmead) is my mum in law and she bred Monty - which is why he is called Ethelsmead Monty Python to Kengai - bred by her and owned by me.

Jean owns Monty's mum. His mum (Holly) is my eldest girl (Ivy)'s sister. So Monty lives with with his Auntie Ivy!

Hope that explains it!

Jean does not seem to come on STW, is she a lurker? Too busy with all her dogs to post probably.

Hi Mercedes - Jean is an IT beginner, and she finds the new fangled technology quite mind boggling - she just about manages to check her email every day!

She does keep asking me if I will show her how to access the site as she is a registered user, so I will give her a quick training session next time she isn't grooming a dog lol!

Going a bit off topic here but just wondering why you don't have a piccie of Monty in your siggie or avatar Kirsty? I've been doing a search trying to find a photo of him you see & the photobucket ones in the gallery have gone!
(I've found him in Kengai Kids - he is beautiful wub).

Hi Mercedes

I just haven't got around to putting him in my siggie/avatar - and call me really sad, but as I have Sasha and Ivy too, I'd like to make sure they all have a pic on there!

I am biaised, but yes he is beautiful - my mum-in-law breeds some very lovely dogs! But he's grown up to be a lovely little boy to live with, even if his hormones are raging at the moment!

Monty and my boy Spanner, Laurmerand Dish of the Day,are related, Jean owns my boys dad, he is Sonny, Chanikos to catch a Dream for Ethelsmead. and if you look at the winners you will see a few more with either the Chanikos or Ethelsmead affix. Jean has some lovely dogs and will have to come out of hiding and join in even if she has to type with 2 fingers. bloodypc flowers
