Mummy and Maggie time
After a few concerns with mags behaviour of late we got in contact (threw the vet ) a very lovely lady who gave us a step by step plan to help Maggie trust ppl luckly the vet who has knows Maggie very well did this for free. We chatted about what she has been doing and routine.
We now r having mummy and mags time. Henry goes out on a very long walk with other mommy while me and mags have lil play time with high value toys and threw a very helpful clicker training guide on here (the training lady says very good FYI ) knows the command touch as well as lie down and sit which she knew before.
We been using touch to bring her closer to me and ha a mini break threw when she sat on my lap for 3 mins today growling has settled but she still moans or walks away at times .
We also have been taking the clicker on our 5 min walks which I get her to Stop and look at me !!!
:-) we will get there

Re: Mummy and Maggie time
It's even very helpful later on I will do tricks but getting happy to be close using the touch. The clicker is a bit loud and scared her away when we started the click treat part. She can not resist a lil piece of chicken regardless how grumpy she is.
We do 15 mins of this then I sit on the floor with her and roll a golf ball. She even did a lil smell I my face that she used to do to greet me but then released she did it and ran away

Re: Mummy and Maggie time
what clicker doyou have? I prefer the I-Click as it is not as loud as some of them
you have to remember she has been through a lot - she will get there xxx

Re: Mummy and Maggie time
I got it from pets at home I don't know the make to be honest but it's loud lol can tell she is a lil scared of it sometimes. We have now mastered the turn (spin) she is very quick problem is to stop her spin around web she wants my lunch lol
Quick grooming question the hair on the toes and feet gets matted at times and she is not keen on the feet touching but will let me something that hap or anything I can do.
Mags coat is now parting down the middle and bouncing when running I have noticed its becomin a bit fly way and sticks in all directions what can I use for his cause she looks like a crazy puff lol

Re: Mummy and Maggie time
you don't really want her to be scared of it (which is what I found with the ones from PAH) This si the one I use though I got mine from ebay recdently
