Rescuing two Shih Tzus tonight
Hi Everyone,
Well you can tell it is getting near christmas, this is my third rescue in as many days. I have found a home for one of my little ones.
I am collecting another two tonight, one is 3 years old and the other is 18 months old. As soon as I have pictures I will share with you.
Hope everyone is doing okay, not been on for a while, but hope to get on here more regularly.

Re: Rescuing two Shih Tzus tonight
I get so annoyed when people treat dogs as accessories to be disposed of when the novelty wears off, or it gets to be an inconvenience to their lifestyle.
Sorry, I am in grumpy old woman mode tonight, it's been a tough day!
You do a brilliant job in rescuing these poor dogs, please continue to do all the hard work, unfortunately you will always be needed.

Re: Rescuing two Shih Tzus tonight
Well these two little doggies are with me now, they are absolutely gorgeous, they have been well looked after to be fair to the owner and are so loveable it melts your heart.
Managed to rehome the little girl who by the way is only 2 not 3 and half, the owner was wrong. The little guy is 19 months old and so adorable, so hopefully won't be in my care for too long.
Thank you for your kind words.
I cannot believe that people can just go an buy these little guys and have them for a couple of years spend a fortune on their upkeep and then say "Dont want them anymore" never fails to surprise me.
Christmas is coming quicker than I thought, and santa's sack will be a wrigglin with a new doggie in a stocking.......and a lovely warm loving home.......for a while anyway.
Very very sad but oh so true.
Will keep you updated as to how the little guy gets on.

Re: Rescuing two Shih Tzus tonight
Well done you for doing this. I also echo what Sujay says. I am afraid I would be hopeless at this I would want to keep them for ever. The kennels where my girls go she also takes in rescues and seems to always have as many rescue dogs than boarders. I seem to spend a fortune on these but no way could I part with them. Mali has been helping hubby scarify the lawn today by barking and chasing the machine, then Tasha heard what was going on and started to join in too, then they chased each other round the place and nearly tripped me up when they came charging in to the house. Now Mali is sleeping on my knee while I write this and Tasha is asleep on the day bed.Keep up the good work Sootywuty your doing brill.

Re: Rescuing two Shih Tzus tonight
Hello, I haven't been on here for a long time due to family probs and I'm still sadly dog less but do you know of anyone who takes in or rescue shih tzus in the Lancashire area, I can travel saying that for a dog but not at short notice as I have to get my boyfriend to bring me so any I have seen advertised have already gone by the time I can get to see them and I know there are many nasty and unscrupulous people out there rehoming dogs without telling the truth why. I would prefer a rescue dog as my last 3 have been rescue, not shih tzus but all the same, fantastic loyal and loving dogs. Thanks x

When my old girl Rowan goes (14yrs old with loads of life in her yet) I will defo find a wee friend for Baxter. Rowan has nothing to do with him and he is missing out on having a friend to play with.
So glad these wee dogs are moving onto loving, and I hope, forever homes
